Golem Master
Im thinking of a class that would function similarly to the ranger's beast mastery and the Necromancer's minions. The class would control a 'Golem' that functions almost exactly the same as a pet, except that they would be Much more powerful and the main focus of the class. This was inspired by the class in Anarchy Online that controls a big robot.
Attributes would be something like:
*Control(primary): This would alter the level of your golem, golems would progress in all aspects at higher levels. Skills would include a golem ressurect, and 'Golem spells' most of which would be elite except for one or two that you get at the beginning of the game, these would work just like 'charm animal' except you would not need to charm a golem, it would come with the skill. Each type of golem would have a different set of skills to use, some would have attack, some, spells, some attacks, so they could take virtually any role.
*Vitality: This would alter the health and armor of the golem. skills would include anti-knockdowns, extra armor skills, ect. for you and your golem.
*Intelect: This would alter the energy of your golem. Skills would include things that make your golem cast faster, lower energy cost of his spells, ect.
*Power: (very similar to a warrior's strength or a weapon mastery attribute) This would increase the damage dealt by your golem. Skills would include Attacks, IAS skills, ect.
The attribute variations and different golem's would change the class drastically and make the golem play anything from a healer, to a nuker, to a hex spammer, to a tank.
Thoughts?

Yay! AO 4TW!
A GW class based on the engy, excellent Idea.
I don't mind the similarity at all, of me posting a conversion of the Metaphysasist 2 days before you. MP'ish CC (WTB better name)
And hope that more people will join in on asking for a class that focuses on supporting their pets instead of their pets supporting them(with the exception of MM but they support an army of pets instead of 1 really good 1).
Are you going for the golem to have the same role as a engy pet(tanking) or will they be more of a damage dealer?
(btw: yes, bots are for tanking, thats why engineers get the 2nd attack pet to deal extra damage)

This isn't a sound idea. 4 attributes all revovling around the effects on the golem, and no self sustainment or abilities outside of golem use.
A Summoner class which is limited to golems, we already have minions, Spirits, more Spirits, and Pets, if we get a Summoner, it should be alot more diverse than Golems, and at least have one utility attribute dedicated to sustaining health and perhaps cost.
As far as summoner potential goes, Golems is about as bland as it could possibly be.

MHmm. Because of AI restrictions there's no way to make this viable without making this more brute-powerful than the Warrior. And that would just be stupid.

well #1 calm down about the double post, they showed up at exactly the same second, and i cant time travel. also AO was one of the best MMOs (and still is, just a little outdated) and its very sad that the classes haven't had more influence on other games. as was said above the Metaphysasist and the engineer were both great classes that never moved into other games. they worked fine in anarchy, i dont see why you wouldn't think they would work here?

AO has very different PvP that GW. Also, how does that change the fact that golems can't be more skilled than warriors, and shouldn't be stronger, so they would have little to no place is the master was just a remote-controlling husk.

AO never caught my attention. And you also have to remember the time settings for AO and GW. AO is centuries beyond GW, in the timeline. You can't take a class from a futre game and make it into a class in a game set in medival times. It just doesn't work that way. I'm very sorry about doing this post here, because this post doesn't fit the topic, so about this class, i like the idea of a golem. All we have had is human and half human(necromancers come to mind) so far. I would definatly play as a golem. The power attribute is better. Great class. Deffinatly better then an AO class

ok fr the las time. <b>IT DOSN'T HAVE TO BE A WARRIOR</b> <-- stupid html.....
also why cant you take a class from anarchy and convert it into GW? ranger, monk, warrior, assassin, i could go on but im lazy. these were all in AO. here the golem is not enchanted my mechanics, but by magic instead.
